Traditional Beers from the Yorkshire Coast

The Wold Top Brewery is one of Yorkshire's newest microbreweries and commenced production in May 2003. It has been formed by two Yorkshire farming families, the Mellors and the Grays who, although new to brewing (but not to drinking!), have diverse and successful farming and leisure enterprises. Both farms have been producers of high class Malting Barley for many years and the farm at which the brewery is sited has its own supply of the purest chalk-filtered water, which has been the only source of drinking water since the first borehole was sunk in 1937.

The Falling Stone
On the 1st July 2003 with our fellow partners in "Wold Top Brewery" we took over the pub in Thwing now called "The Falling Stone".
